Zanera

Rules

1. Names

1.1Character names must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, drug-related, threatening, or intended to harass others. Names referring to racism, serious crimes, dictators, illegal substances, explicit content, diseases, disabilities, or real-life threats are also prohibited.
1.2Character names must not promote, reference, or express religious or political views. This includes the names of religions, religious figures or titles, political movements, and well-known politicians.
1.3Character names must not support, encourage, announce, or imply violations of the Zanera Rules. Names that reference cheating, botting, spamming, account trading, or other prohibited behaviour are not allowed.
1.4Names that impersonate or falsely suggest an official staff position are also prohibited.

2. Statements

2.1Players must communicate respectfully and must not use insulting, racist, sexual, drug-related, threatening, harassing, or otherwise offensive language. This applies regardless of the language, spelling, symbols, ASCII art, or other methods used—the intention behind the message is what matters.
2.2Players must not repeatedly send identical or similar messages in public channels, local chat, advertisements, forums, or other Zanera services. Attempts to bypass spam controls are also prohibited.
2.3Players must not advertise third-party brands, products, services, other games, or offers unrelated to Zanera.
2.4Buying, selling, or trading accounts, items, currency, services or other content for real money is strictly prohibited.
2.5English must be used in designated English channels, boards, and official discussions. Religious or political topics are not permitted in public channels or on the Zanera website. Players must also use each channel or board for its intended purpose.
2.6Players must not encourage, support, glorify, announce, or imply violations of the Zanera Rules. This applies even when such statements are intended as jokes or sarcasm.

3. Cheating

3.1Players must not exploit obvious bugs or unintended errors in Zanera, its website, or any related service for personal advantage. Any discovered bug should be reported and not abused.
3.2Players must not modify the Zanera client, game protocol, or related files to gain an unfair advantage. Bots, macros, taskers, cheats, and other software that automate gameplay or assist players unfairly are strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent banishment of all the accounts used by the offender.
3.3Each player may have only one character online per world at a time, whether actively controlled or not. Using multiple clients, devices, accounts, or network connections does not change this rule. Logging in with another character while your previous character is still online is prohibited.

4. Gamemasters

4.1Threatening, intimidating, blackmailing, or attempting to pressure Zanera staff, whether directly or indirectly will not be tolerated.
4.2Players must not impersonate Zanera staff, falsely claim to represent them, or mislead others into believing they have influence over staff members or their decisions.
4.3Players must not knowingly provide false or misleading information to Zanera staff through reports, complaints, or any other communication channel.

5. House Auctions

5.1Bidding on a house auction with no intention to pay, or placing absurdly high bids to prevent other players from winning, is forbidden. If a player wins an auction and does not have the required sum to be debited from their depot, their account will be excluded from further auctions for 7 days. Deliberate auction spoiling may additionally result in a notation, temporary banishment, or permanent banishment depending on the severity and the player's record.

6. Legal Issues

6.1Any attempt to steal another player's account or personal data — including spreading links, in-game or on the website, meant to trick players into downloading keyloggers or other malware — will lead to the deletion of your account.

7. Destructive Behaviour

7.1Zanera reserves the right to stop destructive, abusive, or rule-breaking behaviour in the game, on the official website, or through any other Zanera service.
7.2Violations may result in character or account suspensions, removal or modification of skills, attributes, items, or other belongings, and permanent deletion without compensation. The sanction depends on the seriousness of the violation and the player's previous record.
7.3Gamemasters may also instruct players to perform or stop a specific in-game action. Players must comply with these requests. Failure to do so may result in a notation, temporary ban, final warning, or permanent ban.

Violating or attempting to violate the Zanera Rules may result in the temporary suspension of characters or accounts. In serious cases, Zanera may remove or modify character levels, skills, attributes, items, currency, or other belongings. Characters and accounts may also be permanently removed without compensation.

The punishment will depend on the seriousness of the violation and the player's previous disciplinary record. All sanctions are determined at the sole discretion of the Zanera administration and may be imposed without prior warning.

Violations of Rules 3.2 and 3.3 will always result in the permanent banishment of all accounts used by the offender.

These rules may be changed at any time. Any changes will be announced through the official Zanera website or other official communication channels.
